Description

The gcc version detection fails hard on Ubuntu:

plewka@rzcp0245:~/ufo/pcitool/driver$ make
Kernel is compiled with gcc 4.4.3, but you are now using 4.4.3-4ubuntu5.1)
The 4.4.3-4ubuntu5.1) of 4.4 series is installed
make: *** [default] Fehler 1

Ugly Ubuntu includes ancient gawk.
