While we love our phones and tablets at the campfires, it's not something we dislike. We are tech-savvy and aren't worried if they are lost, even during camping trips. Our father doesn't mind even though he turns off his phone for the whole 2 days during the weekend. It's a way for him to relax. After a tiring day of hunting and fishing We enjoy a huge lunch in the forest. After dinner, we watch TV and music videos or shows that we have downloaded prior to our trip. Parents aren't worried about us using the phone because we can't get internet in the woods. There's no games email, games, and other items to reply to then we jump back to the conversation. Prior to a trip, we typically copy video files using a Youtube clip converter or other video downloader website. The download options offered by HULU are excellent as we can enjoy endless hours of films and shows on our laptops prior to departure. These shows and movies are not just great for making camping trips more enjoyable, they are excellent for getting there. Three-hour trips in a campervan often be boring. This is exactly what my father enjoys. He is able to concentrate on the road and this huge vehicle is difficult to control, therefore he needs to focus on that.

GPS is yet another piece of tech that we will not let go of during our camping excursions. When in emergency, knowing where you are at all times and how to get back to civilization is crucial. While we haven't had any major issues on our travels, there are stories about people being stranded because of snow and dirt avalanches. GPS always shows where to go to safety as long as you know where safety may be found. A helicopter can be dispatched to your location , by zooming into it in case of emergency. GPS is a must for any journey that is remote. Technology is an integral element of modern life.
