Hardware

• ​Apple Xserve server
• Intel Xeon CPU E5462 2.8GHZ (8 cores total), 16 GB system memory
• 3 x 1TB hard drives: First one is hosting operating system, two overs are organized in mirroring RAID and used to store virtual machines and PDV data. The raid is mounted under /Volumes/PDVData path.

Sofware:

• ​MacOS X 10.5.4 (Leopard) Server operating system. VNC and SSH servers are providing remote administration capabilities.
• ​Parallels Server for Mac Virtualization Solution.
• The management of virtual machines is possible using Parallels Management Console. The latest Linux, Windows and OSX versions could be downloaded for free from ​here. The local copies are available ​here.
